Our Fantastic Favorites: Cloud Atlas

One of the most compelling books I have read in recent years was David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas. This collection of six short stories, nested like a Russian Matryoshka doll, provided me with an incredibly tedious yet ultimately satisfying read. Indeed, I felt like I was climbing an incredibly steep mountain while reading the first half of the novel, but the view at the top is amazing and the alpine slide taking you down the other side is the ride of your life.
