Midweek Fiction: John Crowley, "Snow"

John Crowley's prose is rich and dense, and so layered with meaning that his work can be read over and over again, each time with the pleasure of discovery.

"Snow" is, as the title might suggest, a winter's tale, but not, perhaps, in the expected manner. "Snow" was originally published in Omni in 1985, and was reprinted in Lightspeed Magazine.
