Fantastically Fun Fridays: January 20, 2012

Nothing says "It's Friday!" like a video of dogs barking the "Imperial March" from Star Wars.  Luckily, that's just what we have for you this afternoon!

Here are some of the other fun things we've found around the internet this week:

  • Jim Hines recreates poses from the covers of various fantasy novels, including his own The Stepsister Scheme. (Jim C. Hines)
  • Illustrations for Lewis Carroll's poem "The Hunting of the Snark." (Brain Pickings)
  • This has been around for a while, but it's worth looking at again--the awesome Kansas City Library parking garage. (GalleyCat)
  • Perhaps the most awesome cake EVER. (Oakleaf Cakes)
  • Connie Willis, author of (most recently) Blackout/All Clear, is the latest Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America Grand Master. (Whatever)
  • Also, apparently Albert Einstein is the creator of Frankenstein--whose real name is Frank Einstein. (Dangerous Minds)
Also, just a reminder--if you're looking for a way to make the world a better place, you  might be interested in Pat Rothfuss's Worldbuilders fundraiser, which is a way to give money to Heifer International while having the possibility of winning awesome fantasy/scifi books, DVDs, and more!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
