My book-reading experience is defined by endings. If I love 90% of a book, but the ending doesn't do it for me, I end up regretting having read it at all. That's why I was so nervous when I approached the end of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. I couldn't put down books 1-6, and as I was reading book 7, I kept thinking, "I hope he doesn't blow the ending. I hope he doesn't blow the ending." I was not disappointed. It was stupendous.
