Over the holidays, both Kat and I read The Tiger's Wife--Téa Obreht's first novel, which also happens to have fantastic tendencies. While we both really enjoyed it, it opened up some interesting questions about genre and literature and the fantastic. In one of this week's highlights, Kat looks at some of these questions and thinks about whether or not labels matter.
Some of our other features this week include an essay by Mark Schelske about Andre Norton's 1963 novel Witch World, some thoughts from me about getting immersed in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and a look at an iPhone app for Game of Thrones fans.
It should be a wonderful week--we hope you can come back often!
