Last week, the winner of the Tiptree Award, as well as the works on the Honor List and Long List were announced. The award is an "annual literary prize for science fiction or fantasy that expands or explores our understanding of gender."



Alaya Dawn Johnson's short story, "Their Changing Bodies," which is an incredibly interesting take on vampires, was included on the Tiptree Long List. "Their Changing Bodies" was originally published in Subterranean's Summer 2011 special YA issue, edited by Gwenda Bond.
