To start things off this afternoon, we have a barrel organ made out of Star Wars LEGOs that plays the music of Star Wars. It works similarly to a music box--the different LEGO pieces are arranged so that they push down the appropriate sensors, thus playing the Star Wars main theme. Here's a picture of the organ:
And here's a close-up of the arrangement of some of the pieces:
You can see more pictures and a video of the organ in action over here (pictures used with permission through a Creative Commons license).
Here are some of the other fun things we found sitting around the Internet this week:
- A drinking game of thrones. Since it calls for you to drink every time "Joffrey acts like a douchebag," my guess is that it will mess you up in a hurry (Buzzfeed)
- A fascinating letter from Philip K. Dick, upon his first viewing of Blade Runner. (Philip K. Dick)
- Scottish scientists have invented the sonic screwdriver! I'll take two, please. Now get to work on my TARDIS. (Gizmodo)
- More Star Wars stuff--did you know that it was originally written by none other than William Shakespeare? Don't believe me? Take a look! (Slacktory)
- An ongoing celebration of the life and work of Diana Wynne Jones. (dwj2012.tumbler)
- We've featured Travis Louie's work before, but it's worth mentioning him again. Here are some more of his perfectly sophisticated monsters. (Travis Louie)

Love the Star Wars stuff here. Thanks! :D
