Fantastically Fun Fridays: April 6, 2012

Happy Friday, everyone!  We didn't have a chance to do our own April Fool's post this year, since the first of the month fell on a Sunday, but there were quite a few fun ones out there.  One of our favorites came from the British Library, with their discovery of a long-lost cookbook...

What other fun scifi/fantasy-related April Fool's jokes did you see?  Let us know in the comments!

And in the meantime, here are some of the fun things we found for you this week:

  • A Peep of Thrones.  Can you guess which scenes are being depicted with the classic Easter candy? (Epicurious)
  • John Scalzi on how some of the worst bad guys from science fiction films might, actually, just be misunderstood. (Filmcritic)
  • While the Locus Photo and Ephemera Archive Project has already been funded through Kickstarter, you can help the project be even more complete with your donations. (Kickstarter)
  • Arc is a great new online magazine about the future; Adam Roberts' post there about monsters is fascinating. (Arcfinity)
  • Eggs-terminate!  Eggs-terminate!  Ok, that was really bad, but I couldn't resist. (Imgur)
  • Amazing art that includes both iconography and science, angels and astronauts. (Rocaille)
Happy weekend, everyone!
