Today marks the release of one of this fall's movies that I'm most excited about seeing--Rian Johnson's Looper, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, and Emily Blunt.  Take a look:

Recently, I've been really into time-travel stories; I fell in love with Stephen King's 11/22/63, and I currently have Jack Finney's Time and Again on my bedside table.  I love the complex existential problems that are often created by these stories, and I'm excited to see what Johnson--who was at the helm of the extremely cool Brick--brings to the genre.

Looper opens today, although if you're a time-traveler, the "when" doesn't matter perhaps as much as the "what" and the "why": go see it because it looks awesome.

  1. What did you think? Personally, I was blown away by how Joseph Gordon-Levitt transformed into a younger version of Bruce Willis. Really amazing stuff. I found a lot of humor in the film as well, and was surprised when no one else in the theater laughed at the one-liners. What are your thoughts?

  2. I actually haven't had a chance to see it yet--I'm really looking forward to going, though!
