Fantastically Fun Fridays: November 11, 2011

It's 11/11/11!  In addition to marking the end of World War I with holidays such as Remembrance Day (UK, Australia and Canada) and Veterans Day (US), today's date, with its rare combination of numbers, also marks several more unusual celebrations, including some related to corduroy and some related to the movie This is Spinal Tap.

We hope that whatever you're celebrating today, you're having a fantastic time.

Here are some of the fun things we found on the Internet for you all this week:

  • For those of you participating in NaNoWriMo, here is a playlist to sustain you and help you celebrate what you're trying to accomplish. (Electric Literature)
  • A video from the wrap party at the end of Russell Davies' and David Tennant's time on Doctor Who. (Bleeding Cool)
  • Ann and Jeff VanderMeer launch the website Weird Fiction Review--"your non-denominational source for the weird." (Weird Fiction Review)
  • Joss Whedon meets the Bard of Avon. (Stratford on Hellmouth)
  • Crocheted Exorcist figures. (BuzzFeed)
  • Kid Rocketeer. (Sweet Juniper)
 Have a great weekend, everyone!
